Who They Are: Marana
The Town of Marana, one of Arizona's fastest-growing municipalities, is run by a mayor and six council members elected at large on even-year ballots and a town manager they hire. Mayor Ed Honea's death in November 2024 put the mayor's seat on the 2026 ballot early; the July 21 primary settled that race and four council seats.

- Jon Post, Mayor: Appointed mayor Jan. 7, 2025, after Mayor Ed Honea died; elected July 21, 2026, over Greg Johnsen to the remainder of Honea's term, through 2028, and sworn in again in August.
- Jackie McGuire, Council Member: Takes office November 2026. Won Patti Comerford's seat July 21, 2026, the one successful candidate from the Marana for the People slate.
- Patti Comerford, Council Member: Did not seek re-election. Jackie McGuire takes the seat when new members are sworn in in November.
