What the office does
State law requires every town to have a town engineer, in charge of the town's streets, sewers and waterworks. Oro Valley's code gives the engineer charge of the town streets and public works, the duties state law requires, and any other duties the town manager assigns. The engineer is appointed, evaluated and terminated by the town manager.
