What the office does
The water utility director reports to the town manager and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the town-owned water system: the sufficiency of the water supply, inspection and repair of the system, enforcement of the Water Utility Code, review of engineering plans, collection of all money owed to the utility, and preparation of the utility's annual budgets and capital improvement plans. The code adds that the director oversees water production, engineering, distribution and customer service for both potable and reclaimed water.
