Background
Appointed March 19, 2024; started July 1, 2024.

What the office does

The manager runs the day-to-day administration of city government, subject to the control of the mayor and council. The manager supervises and directs every appointed city officer except the city attorney, city clerk and magistrate, appoints (and may remove) the officers the charter does not otherwise provide for, sees that ordinances are enforced, oversees the performance of city contracts, and reports in writing on the condition of the city at the council's first meeting each month.

The manager also prepares the annual budget estimate the council adopts. The manager is appointed by the mayor and council and serves until removed by four votes.

Who They Are was researched and written by Nicholas De Leon with Claude Fable 5.1 from the official pages, election canvasses, statutes and contracts linked on each chart; the reports naming each person are matched by code from What They Decided, and no model wrote any of it.
