What the office does

The water director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the town's water and wastewater utilities: safe and reliable service to customers, compliance with federal, state and local regulations, preparation of utility master plans, the sufficiency of the town's water supply and the adequacy of its wastewater capacity, inspection and repair, review of engineering plans and contracts, collection of what the utilities are owed, the utilities' budgets and capital plans, and enforcement of the town's utilities code.
